Baptism (again)
Maybe I should have just sent Dr. Blowers this video instead of trying to come up with a baptism liturgy. Probably would have gotten a decent grade.

I can’t believe I didn’t think of that.
Me, either.
It’s great, isn’t it? You should show your niece…
🙂
Maybe I’ve been with 10 year olds too long, but I thought that was horribly disrespectful.
But maybe I’m a party pooper….
Probably a little of both.
* Yes, there’s some disrespect. After participating in my fair share of pre-teen/teenagers getting baptized, it’s refreshing to see someone do it with so much enthusiasm.
* Yes, you’ve been around 10 year olds too long.
* Yes, that makes you a party pooper. Every party needs a pooper, after all.
I guess that’s three, huh? Good thing I’m not the one teaching the kids.
Speaking of teaching the kids, how’d the observation go?
I dunno, I guess it would depend on why he did it. I could see him being one of those kids who act on impulse- it seemed like a good idea at the time, so he did it.
oops…
I forgot to add the little 🙂 at the end of the whole thing. You know I’m just joking with you. YOu’re allowed to think it’s inappropriate. I know several people do.
I really do want to know how the observation went, though.
The observation went pretty well, and I think I already know what she’s going to tell me… classroom management, etc. It’s easier to pick apart your own lesson and find all the nit picky things. 🙂 Thanks for asking! Good job, friend and small group leader!
I know I’m ALLOWED to think it’s inappropriate. I wouldn’t think it bad if I believed the kid was enthusiastic, not just seeking attention. I believe he’s seeking attention, but that’s just me.
Fair enough.
