Stop the Presses!

tmatt’s a right-winger! At least that’s what these people think.

Funny, I don’t remember thinking that when I had him as a Communications prof.

I never really thought that when I read his articles or his posts.

He never really shared much political philosophy in the classroom (although he had us listen to Rush Limbaugh once…it did fit within the context of the class…I promise), but I’m fairly certain he leans more “to the left” than Religious Left Online seems to think. He was actually pretty balanced and called for accurate and fair reporting long before Fox News Channel made “Fair and balanced” a slogan.

As I’ve stated before, he did “go backwards” from Baptist to Episcopal to Eastern Orthodox. I’ll bet it’s the Orthodox tradition with a Baptist heritage that allows one to pigeon hole him into a stereotype. I promise – tmatt is far beyond any stereotypes. They definitely broke the mold with him.

It’s all about perspective, isn’t it?
