It’s almost over!
I’m starting a new holiday.
Happy End of Political Ads Eve!
Like most Americans who have access to mass media, I’m sick of the political ads – especially the mud-slinging ones (and there’s been a lot of mud-slinging in the good ol’ Volunteer State, let me tell ya!). True, some of the ads have been creative and even a little amusing, but most of them have been nothing but venomous. After all the misrepresentations and harsh characterizations, it’s a wonder anyone wants to vote anymore. When I stood at the voting machine today, there were times I wished there was a “None of the Above” button – mostly because I’m sick of the negative ads.
The long-awaited relief is less than 24 hours away. No more political ads!
Maybe we should all wear red, white, and blue tomorrow – regardless of the election results.

Do the candidates talk in a Tennessee “twang” in the ads to show their devotion to the state?

Wondering
How do you determine which picture to put on your journal entries? Why did you decide to retire Master Yoda?

Re: Wondering
You have to have more than one userpic uploaded first. Upload them the same way you uploaded the Doozer. After that, there’s a place to choose which pic you want. Speaking of your journal, why don’t you use it when you post comments here anymore? Just curious.
I need more pics to communicate different things. Yoda just wasn’t getting the job done anymore.
He’ll always be in our hearts…and might make an appearance on MattDanTodd Land from time to time.
Re: Wondering
So I just realized I probably didn’t answer your question. The picture of me from Philmont (seen above) is the default. The IU hat is sports related. The family picture involves family stuff. The cross involves church and/or seminary stuff…I’m working on splitting that one. The leg lamp is general commentary on life, funny stuff, and other things like that…you know – stuff that earned me the BLOGOTY last year.
That help? Yoda had just become another pic and didn’t really fit into a category.
