“It’s Hot, Don”
Who says mass marketing doesn’t impact you?
It’s been at least 10 (maybe longer) years since I’ve seen that commercial for the Evansville auto dealer that has the old guy say, “It’s hot, Don.”
I don’t know who the dealer is, or if they still run that commercial. I do know, however, that every time I say it’s hot, I want to say “It’s hot, Don.”
So I say it quite often. People down here give me the strangest looks. Then my wife says, “It’s hot…
and you need a pool!” which is from the “beloved” Watson’s commercials in Indy.
So, I ask again, who says marketing doesn’t impact you?

By the way – today was definitely an “It’s hot, Don” kind of day. Looks like it’s going to get worse before it gets better. Good thing I get to mow lawns, huh?

Actually, I let Jenga in this afternoon and I said to him, “It’s Hot Don..and you need a pool.”
I think that advertising adds character and excitement to our lives.

My mom’s extended family says this ALL THE TIME, and they think they’re hillarious.
Which means you’re hillarious, too, Matt Matterson.
I really don’t think it’s that funny. Actually, we said it most of the time because we were making fun of it.
Guess it stuck.
