Christy’s Stuck…
Christy and the kids are on their way home! Man, I’ve been excited all day. They’ve been gone since Tuesday, and I’ve really started to miss them.
But – I’m gonna have to wait one more day. There was a major accident on the Interstate, and she’s not even past Georgetown, KY yet.
They’ll probably stay overnight somewhere in Central Kentucky now. Hopefully they’ll get off the Interstate before Aly has to go to the bathroom. That could add one disaster on top of another one.
I just hope they stay safe. Good thing they have Papaw’s portable DVD player. Aiden’s gonna miss his soccer game and Christy probably won’t get here in time for the wedding we were going to go to.
I’ll just be happy when they get home.
***UPDATE*** 10 p.m. Still stuck. She’s officially been in the traffic jam for 6 hours! She said she can see the exit for the detour and can see the gas stations. Apparently, the kids almost got hit by a car when she was outside so they could go to the bathroom. Scary stuff.
No idea if she has enough gas to get there, or if the gas station even has any more gas…
***UPDATE #2*** 10:15 p.m. She finally got off the Interstate and right back on, bypassing the glue explosion. She and the kids are getting food at Cracker Barrell, getting gas, and heading down towards Berea. Papaw reserved them a room there tonight. Hopefully, the drama is finally over.
