Tomorrow’s the big day – baby Trenton is having his surgery on his heart tomorrow.
Everyone please pray for him!
Thank you.

He’s out of surgery and recovernig. Of course, the first night is the one they’re most concerned about, but he’s doing about as well as can be expected. Read more about his recovery by clicking the “Trenton” link above and then going to “My Story.”

Thank you for praying for Trenton! You know how some people say they will pray but never actually do? There are actually very few people that I trust to pray when they say they will. You guys are some of them.

Trenton Update
Trenton came out of surgery Thursday night “as well as can be expected” and continues to improve. Things are looking pretty good right now for the little guy. Liz and I got to see him after his surgery on Thursday and he looked really good, all things considered. He was hooked up to about 37 different machines, but he’s in great hands. Apparently, the doctor that performed the surgery has “better numbers” than the fellow for whom the surgery is named… ummm, I’ll take that guy, please! The nurses with Trenton are also freaking amazing!!! He has his own nurse — her only job is to watch him. Amazing care!
Matt and Shannon are doing well also. We were with them for several hours last night, and the mood was pretty light. I would say that Matt was about as giddy as I’ve ever seen him… he’s relieved that Thursday is over with. I know the feeling… Those two continue to impress me. They are handling all of this with the kind of grace that only God can give.
Maybe it’s really God that continues to impress me…
