Hoosier (“who’s yer”) Coach?

If all of the news stories are to be believed, IU has chosen their new basketball coach…

When I posted my list of potential replacements, I had considered putting him on the list, but I had thought he was an Oklahoma boy coaching for his alma mater and there would be no use in trying to pull him away. Guess I was wrong.

I’m a little concerned about the alleged recruiting violations. If he’s already done that, what’s he going to do when the pressure of the Hoosier faithful gets to him? It’s one thing to have a successful program. It’s another thing to do it while playing by the rules and having your students graduate.

If the reports are true, I hope he’s up to the task.

I’m sure there will be more to be said once the announcement is made (sorry to all of you who don’t read this for my sports thoughts…it’s IU basketball, though…you know it’s gonna happen).
