Scouting and my Theology of Leadership

So, I have to write a 1400 word scholarly paper stating my theology of leadership for my final project from my winter session class. I’ve been doing a bunch of reading and trying to get my thoughts down on paper.

I’m halfway tempted to just fall back on my Scouting experience.

A leader is:
Trustworthy
Loyal
Helpful
Friendly
Courteous
Kind
Obedient
Cheerful
Thrifty
Brave
Clean
Reverent

I’m not sure how I could fit clean into the mix, but there are definite connections between the points of the Scout Law and elements of servant leadership.

Unfortunately, there are just 12 points to the Scout Law. It would be a little tough to stretch that out into 1400 words. I know the paper will be influenced by those points, though.

It’s amazing how things from your youth still make an impact on you and guide your thought process.
