Not trying to be picky
OK – If I have to spend 50 bucks on a book for class, I’d expect the editors to pick up any typographical errors. After all, it’s 50 freakin’ bucks! And it’s not like it’s a long book. It’s only 336 pages. I’ve found four in one chapter alone – and I’m not even looking for them!
I think I should get a refund.

Some things never change…
You always were anal like that. 😉
Re: Some things never change…
Hey – 50 bucks is 50 bucks. If I’m going to get points knocked off for grammatical mistakes and typographical errors, I think the authorities we use should face the same consequences.
Call it what you will. I say I’m just cheap and will use any excuse to complain and get my money back.

That is a good point. Why can’t they be held to the same standards that they enforce on us? Write a letter to the publisher. There is someone there whose JOB is checking that stuff. 🙂
Re: Some things never change…
That would condstitute more work. I’m too lazy for that.
I think I’ll just complain about it more.
Re: Some things never change…
Well, if ya wanna get picky, there’s no D in Constitute.
Other than that, complain away. As you can see from my page, I’m fond of the art myself.

Stupid fingers. The one time I don’t use spell check and I accidentally slip on the wrong letter.
Stupid fingers.
In completely unrelated matters, while there’s no D in constitute, there is one in Diploma (or Degree)…and that’s good enough for me!
It’s not really good enough for me anymore, but it helps me get through Greek, where I’ll be happy with a D.
You’re right!
