Bruce Pearl’s Volunteers just defeated #2 Florida 80-76. #1 Duke had been upset by Georgetown earlier in the day. So, the Gators were the heir-apparent for the number one position. The Vols had something to say about that in front of a sellout crowd in Knoxville (I just found out they call the court “The Summitt,” after Pat Summitt…she has 900 wins now). It was the 6th largest attendance ever in that arena.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – Bruce Pearl’s for real. He has the Vols believing in themselves and now the Orange Nation believes in them, too.
