Snow!
The last weather prediction I heard said that it was supposed to rain all day (which it did), and eventually turn to snow (which it has). Then, it’s going to snow overnight with zero accumulation.
Zero accumulation my foot!
It’s not even 11 p.m. and there’s probably a quarter-inch on the ground. It’s not sticking to the roads much. Yet. We’ll see.
They were probably all using the VIPIR weather alert system. I remember when they got it in Indy and they didn’t predict anything right! They’ve had it less than a year here, and I’m fully expecting several years of bad predictions before they figure the system out. I think they get overloaded with data and interpret it based on old models, which are just no longer effective. That’s just a guess, though. I really don’t know what I’m talking about.
I do know that they still don’t accurately predict the weather here yet.
