Quick update
Our phone line was down for several days, but now it’s back and better than ever. Turns out, our apartment was plugged into the wrong tower. Since the people who lived here before us didn’t use their land line, the problem wasn’t found earlier. Long story short, it was fixed yesterday. Time for a quick update…
Visitors, visitors, visitors!
My mom-in-law, the Gates, and then my parents were all here last week at different times. Now, we’re watching the preacher’s son while he and Miki go to the Drive Conference. On Friday, my father-in-law is coming down to surprise Aiden for his birthday (on Saturday). It’s like we’re a hotel, or something. Not that I’m complaining – it’s good to be able to see everyone!
My Foot
Sunday morning, I stepped on the plug for a hair dryer which was sitting on the floor. It sliced my foot open – and man, did it hurt! So, Sunday night, I had to go to work and began to limp on it, trying not to aggrivate it too much. It was a short night, so I didn’t hurt too much after that. Last night, however, was the longest night I’ve had yet – 1,500 pieces pulled over 7 hours of work. That involved a lot of walking, needless to say. My foot hurt a lot, and my attempts to be gentle with it has only cramped my calf and my hip. I’m not exactly looking forward to work tonight. This week is supposed to be really busy, since so many things are happening this weekend: the race, the Fair, and move-in day for ETSU and Milligan.
