Star Wars Update

Shortly after my last post, I discovered that all of the tickets were sold out and the group did not have an extra ticket for me.

Then Dale walked into the picture. He has a presentation today that he wanted to finish preparing last night. He twisted my arm and convinced me to take his ticket and go in his place. He called at 10:50, and I was out the door by 11.

After an hour drive to the theater (it’s supposed to be state-of-the-art), I arrived at the theater at 11:59 p.m. – two minutes to spare. Episode III was scheduled to begin at 12:01 a.m.

Of course, they didn’t star the movie for another 40 minutes! It gave me time to get settled, but that was a little too long to wait for the opening credits.

I don’t have time to post my thoughts about the movie just yet. I still need to process some of it. Hopefully, I’ll have them online by tonight.
