Elmo the Emu
Yes, his name is Elmo! He was caught (again). His owners say they’re looking for a new home.
Dr. Wetzel needs to call these people immediately!
I’m confident Elmo the Emu would win all kinds of awards for “Best Mascot.” Can’t be any worse than a hound dog for the Volunteers (never really saw that connection).
Instead of the Hurryin Hoosiers, or the Fightin’ Irish, we could be the Emmanuel Elusive Emus! Gotta love it!

He’s elusive! He’s sly and gets out of trouble. He also escapes the clutches of his predators unscathed.
He is the epitome of such a noble bird.
