Postmodernism readings
If a guy writes a book and does a very good job at defining the emergent culture and its postmodern roots then finishes the book with a list of things a new church must do that particular order to be a success, did he really write a book about reaching the emergent generations (I’ve heard some people call them “pomos…looks too much like “pornos” to me)?
Maybe he should read his own book. He spent 200 pages talking about thinking “outside the box,” and then the next 100 trying to put the reader back into that same box.
Made me chuckle while I was tempted to throw the entire book in the trash. Too bad he had some really good things to say. Up till page 200. I guess he was under a deadline from the editor and had to rush some stuff together. Or maybe he was tired of writing and half-heartedly threw the end together. Who knows?
