A is for Adoption

A is for AdoptionAdoption is beautiful.
Adoption is tough.
And beautiful.
And heartbreaking.
And scary.
And complex.
And messy.
And beautiful.
And hard.
And unpredictable.
And crazy.
And beautiful.

Is adoption the only way to care for orphans? Absolutely not. But it is a way. Do I wish adoptions didn’t have to happen? Of course. I wish every child could stay with his or her family of origin. But as long as there are orphans, there will be a need for adoption.

If you are unfamiliar with our family’s adoption story, you’re welcome to read it here. Be warned, though. Our involvement in orphan care has only just begun. Maybe you’d like to join us on our journey. There’s always room for one more.
