A is for Adoption
Adoption is beautiful.
Adoption is tough.
And beautiful.
And heartbreaking.
And scary.
And complex.
And messy.
And beautiful.
And hard.
And unpredictable.
And crazy.
And beautiful.
Is adoption the only way to care for orphans? Absolutely not. But it is a way. Do I wish adoptions didn’t have to happen? Of course. I wish every child could stay with his or her family of origin. But as long as there are orphans, there will be a need for adoption.

Our daughter arrived on our doorstep at 13 months and has been entwined in our hearts every since. 🙂
Wonderful post. I’ve always dreamed of adopting…our current situation doesn’t allow for it, but I admire and respect every family that does so!!
We had to wait a long time before we were in a place to be able to adopt. I wish I’d realized then what I realize now: I could have spent that time doing other things to care for orphans while we were waiting for the right time to adopt.
