My election day prediction

Governor Christie and President Obama. Can we follow their example post-election this year?

I guarantee this is going to happen:

Some of the people I vote for are going to win. It’s a given. After all, there was no one else running against them on the ballot.*

Some of the people I vote for are going to lose. Unless there’s a huge groundswell of support for some of them that no one is reporting on. I’m not holding my breath, though.

That’s part of the process. You win some. You lose some. When the results are tabulated, I promise to be a graceful winner. I also promise to be a graceful loser.

I hope you do the same. Part of what makes this country great is that when all is said and done, we’re still Americans. Part of the United States.

*Clarification: I didn’t vote for every candidate who didn’t face opposition. Just those I knew about. If I didn’t know anything about the candidate, I just left that blank. I also had my first write-in vote today.
