Buying a Book CAN Change the World!

A few years ago, I agreed to read and review a copy of Addition by Adoption by Kevin Hendricks. I’d say Kevin is a friend of mine, but that still feels weird because I’ve never met him face-to-face. He was one of the first people I connected with on twitter back before twitter was cool (back when twitter was just a “waste of time”). I followed his family’s journey as they brought Milo home from Ethiopia just a few short months before Mihret came home with us.

Shortly after that, Kevin wrote Addition by Adoption, chronicling his family’s journey in a way that could only have been done in our current age. All proceeds from the book were dedicated towards building a well in Ethiopia.

That day has finally come.

Milo's well in Ethiopia. You can help change lives through organizations like charity:water

Reading Kevin’s post about Milo’s well┬ástill brings tears to my eyes. It’s a beautiful thing that Kevin and his family have done and it has inspired me to become more creative in ways I can impact the world in meaningful ways.

Well done, Kevin, Abby, Lexi, and Milo! Thank you for making your mark on the world!

Something tells me it’s only the beginning…

  1. Wow, thanks Matt. And of course these are things we have to do together. I can’t do it alone.

Right. It’s amazing how much can be accomplished when everyone works together.

But someone has to get the ball rolling. And for that, I tip my hat to you and your family.
