A few years ago, I agreed to read and review a copy of Addition by Adoption by Kevin Hendricks. I’d say Kevin is a friend of mine, but that still feels weird because I’ve never met him face-to-face. He was one of the first people I connected with on twitter back before twitter was cool (back when twitter was just a “waste of time”). I followed his family’s journey as they brought Milo home from Ethiopia just a few short months before Mihret came home with us.
Shortly after that, Kevin wrote Addition by Adoption, chronicling his family’s journey in a way that could only have been done in our current age. All proceeds from the book were dedicated towards building a well in Ethiopia.
That day has finally come.
Reading Kevin’s post about Milo’s well still brings tears to my eyes. It’s a beautiful thing that Kevin and his family have done and it has inspired me to become more creative in ways I can impact the world in meaningful ways.

Wow, thanks Matt. And of course these are things we have to do together. I can’t do it alone.
Right. It’s amazing how much can be accomplished when everyone works together.
But someone has to get the ball rolling. And for that, I tip my hat to you and your family.
