We’ve done (some of) this before…

Mihret’s having surgery today. Adenoids and tonsils will be removed. Tubes will be put in her ears. We’re no stranger to the procedures for adenoids and tubes, thanks to Aly’s experience with tubes when she was much younger. Of course, this procedure’s s a little different our other two still have their tonsils.

The biggest concern about the surgery is how Mihret is going to react to the anesthesia. She’s been put under before – when they did an MRI during her last visit to Riley. The doctors up here were willing to do the surgery at Ball Memorial, but because of her special needs and how that might impact recovery from anesthesia, they strongly recommended we go to Riley. So…we’re off to Riley this morning!

Surgery is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. We’d appreciate your prayers. I’ll do my best to keep y’all updated. I suspect my twitter account will have more frequent news than the blog.
