Let it snow…

They’re talking snow. It’s supposed to start within the next few hours. We could get anywhere from 2-5 inches.

Back in Tennessee, the place would be in a tizzy. I think by now they’d already be announcing school closings for the next day. I’ve gotten so used to the hysteria that’s created when a weatherman says the word ‘snow’ or ‘ice’ in Upper East Tennessee that it seems almost surreal here because there doesn’t seem to be such widespread panic. We’re under a snow advisory, but I haven’t seen any closings announced on TV yet.

It just seems…surreal.

Not that I’m complaining. I was actually amused sometimes at how quick they were to close things Yeah, I know – mountains get more snow/ice and are more difficult to travel. Central Indiana is…flat.

I am looking forward to playing in the snow with the kids. I’m just curious if I’ll have all day to do it tomorrow or not. I’m guessing they’ll be in school. But that’s just a guess.
