Week O’ Stress

Tomorrow’s the procedure where they’re going to remove Aly’s adenoids and put tubes in both her ears. They decided today during the pre-op exam that she needs a new tube in her right ear, too. The thing that Christy heard during the visit that has raised the stress level a little bit more is the fact that they are going to intubate her. This means it’s a more serious procedure than the last time when she just had tubes put in her ears.

We have to be in Kingsport by 6:30, which means we have to leave here by 6. The Inlaw is taking Aiden to school. Hopefully that all works out OK. Of course, all of this stuff adds to the stress level of tomorrow.

Then there’s Dave’s procedure on Thursday. A year and a half ago he had the same procedure during his memorable stay in the hospital. That procedure was less than spectacular. It’s highly unlikely that Christy will be able to be up there for the procedure. That, of course, makes Thursday even more stressful because we’re down here and he’s up there.

Needless to say, we’re going to be spending the next few days in more continuous prayer than normal.

I’ll update about Aly as soon as possible tomorrow.
