Aiden’s Illness
Aiden was up till 2 again last night. He managed to throw up everything he had eaten today (sorry if that’s TMI). Christy took him to the doctor this morning and the doc expressed “concern.” It appears that he doesn’t have a virus, since he’s had bouts of vomiting for 10 days (off and on).
He’s more dehydrated than we realized, so we’re pushing fluids on him all day. He gets to go back to the doctor on Monday and get blood work done (sounds like fun times, doesn’t it?). Hopefully it’s just something he has that can be treated with a dose of drugs or something like that.
Now, when I say “concerned,” it might sound more serious than it is. It’s not like the doctor said he needs to be admitted to the hospital, or anything like that. It’s just that she couldn’t figure out what’s causing him to get sick, since it doesn’t appear to be bacterial or viral or anything like that. It still makes you feel kind of helpless to know that the doctors can’t help immediately.
Most of the time he’s been acting pretty normal. Then, all of a sudden, he starts feeling nauseous. It seems to sneak up on him.
This picture was taken by my Dad back on Thanksgiving weekend. He had just been in the pool and was in a pretty good mood. I think it’s one of the best pictures I have of Aiden.
