I’m sorry to say, but I’m done

I have tried to support Mike Davis since his hiring as the IU coach. No more. I’m done with the excuses. I’m done with settling for “close to first place.” I’m just done. His whining to ESPN was the last straw.

Maybe if you showed the world that you knew how to coach, the fans wouldn’t have shown up wearing black. Maybe if you prepared the team a little bit, they would be able to perform against top-notch teams. You’ve recruited talent that can run with Duke and UConn, I’ll give that. You can’t say “We almost beat the two top teams in the country” as an argument for being a top-tier team. That is settling.

No more settling!

Don’t blame the students.

Don’t blame Hoosier Nation.

Don’t blame the media.

Don’t blame the Selection Committee if they leave IU out of the Big Dance again.

No more excuses, whining, or mediocrity. Lead this team like a real head coach or get out of the way for someone else. I’m done drinking the Kool Aid.
