Have I mentioned I love this time of year in basketball?

Congrats to the valiant Warriors of Evansville Harrison, who captured their 6th-ever Sectional Title yesterday (even though it’s watered-down, due to the class system). They defeated those evil Knights of Castle. Harrison should have a wealth of Sectional crowns under their belt with the talent they’ve had over the years (*cough* Calbert Cheaney *cough*). Glad to hear they captured another one.

CBS has to be quite happy tonight. Over the past two Sundays, they have broadcast 6 games nationally. The total point spread of the combined scores is 12 points. Every game was high quality! Today was upset central for the top teams. Now things get a little hairy.

Now that Southern Illinois lost their tournament game, I’m pulling for Creighton to win the Missouri Valley tournament. Major upsets like Southwest Missouri ST winning the tourney definitely hurts the chances of IU getting a bid. IU plays Minnesota on Thursday. Keep it up, Hoosiers!

I love this time of year! Unfortunately, I still have to study. Yes, yes…Greek…still the bane of my existence!
